Saturday. Looking north on Connecticut Ave. Taken from my 9th floor aerie. The reflections you see in window are of white vertical blinds. As you can see, there was little snow accumulation on the roadbed and many sidewalks were cleared, at least in the vicinity of my apartment building. Please keep in mind this avenue is well-traveled pedestrian and car route, so it clears quickly. The side streets are another matter Even on the road most traveled, I encountered several icy patches on walk to CVS, so one has to be careful out there. |
